My First Post

(Wow....years of blogging opportunities and I finally create one!)

First of all, let me create a direction and purpose for this particular blog of mine. I am first and foremost a Christian. I make no apologies for this nor do I use it as a crutch to ignore what is going on around me. I am not a Christian because I go to church, nor an I a Christian because I am nice to people, and I am not a Christian because all of my friends are Christians. My faith is a personal choice and a commitment. I do not believe that everyone that is nice goes to heaven. There is a simple process to make sure you get to go and it is written in black and white.

I am not perfect (as you will see in great detail).

As per the title of this blog, you are probably wondering about this habit that I have. Although we all have habits (of one degree or another...), my habit is pretty much harmless and detremental at the same time.

Poker. Actually, No Limit Texas Hold'em!

I have been a semi-amateur for about 6 months now, and know just enough to lose a lot of money.

I intend to use this blog to post different interesting and exciting things (if I can stop playing long enough to do it!) in the future.

This is really an opportunity for me to journal my thoughts as well as control the escalation of my poker prowess.
