iMacs, Poker and the Spelling Bee...!
So I just got a Mac. Being a pc guy for so long, I needed to make a move for sake of change. There are plenty of reasons to do so, but it is in my nature to change things up a bit every once in a while. So this is my first blog post using my Mac!!!
What does my new Mac have to do with poker? Nothing (but it's my blog so deal with it!!!)
My poker game has gone to a whole new level in the past 6 weeks. I had been going through a significantly bad streak in the past 6 months, missing out on some cards and watching the guys that I usually play with get better making it that much more difficult to win.
Our crew decided to start a practice schedule to expand and enhance our play giving us a better opportunity to win. The training sessions have been incredibly successful, and I have gleaned an immeasurable amount of information in a very short period of time. I am able to exploit the the knowledge and experience of my friends, and it is like playing thousands of hands of poker in a short period of time.
This is one of the most beneficial things that I have done concerning my poker game since I started playing. The group is starting to expand, and that will just enhance our new poker club and the play!!!! Now that's cool!
On another note, a few weeks ago my daughter Jordan won the schoolwide spelling bee. We were so proud of her!!! This past Tuesday she won the regional spelling bee which was the top 36 spellers from the area's 18 schools. Again, huge kudos to her!!! Over the weekend, she participated in the County spelling bee which was the big one. She went out earlier than she expected when she got a really tough word with a marginal pronunciation. She had intended to win it, and she is good enough to - but it wasn't in the cards. She'll buckle down and do it next year!!!
If you ask me how to spell winner, well that's and easy on for me....

See you at the tables....!
